Massage Treatments in Edinburgh

Choosing the right massage isn’t always straightforward. You may know exactly where it hurts, but not what to book.

At Sabaidee Thai Spa in Tollcross, every massage begins with understanding you. Rather than recommending the same treatment to everyone, Pailin listens to how you’re feeling, asks what you want from the appointment, and shapes the treatment around that.

So you don’t need to arrive knowing the answer. That’s her job.

What’s the Difference Between the Treatments?

Every treatment at Sabaidee is personalised, so the difference isn’t in how much care you receive. It’s in what your body needs.

Some work firmly into stubborn tightness. Some support an active life. Some use warmth rather than pressure. Some concentrate on one part of the body taking the strain.

The Six Treatments

Traditional Thai Massage

Authentic Thai techniques, tailored to you.

Traditional Thai Massage combines pressure, movement and assisted stretching in a fully clothed treatment. Every appointment is adapted to how you’re feeling on the day, helping you feel more comfortable and move more freely.

Best for whole-body tension · movement and flexibility · authentic Thai therapy

30 min £40 · 60 min £55 · 90 min £80 · 120 min £100

Traditional Thai Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

Focused treatment for persistent muscular tightness.

If tension has become part of everyday life, Deep Tissue Massage works into areas of long-standing tightness. It uses the right pressure for your body rather than the deepest pressure possible, and clients are frequently surprised how much more comfortable that feels.

Best for one or two stubborn areas · recurring shoulder or back tightness · firm, focused work

30 min £40 · 60 min £55 · 90 min £80 · 120 min £100

Deep Tissue Massage

Hot Stone Massage

Warmth that lets muscles soften without force.

Smooth heated basalt stones are placed on the body and used in the massage itself. The warmth helps muscles relax more readily than massage alone, making this the most deeply relaxing treatment on the menu.

Best for deep relaxation · generally tired muscles · anyone who finds it hard to switch off

60 min £60 · 90 min £90 · 120 min £120

Hot Stone Massage

Sports Massage

Thai-style massage and assisted stretching for active bodies.

Sports Massage at Sabaidee combines focused massage with the assisted stretching used in traditional Thai massage. It suits runners, cyclists, golfers, gym users and anyone whose body feels worked.

It isn’t clinical sports therapy or injury rehabilitation. If you need a diagnosis or a rehab programme, a physiotherapist is the right person to see.

Best for recovery after training · mobility and range of movement · post-exercise tightness

60 min £60 · 90 min £90 · 120 min £120

Sports Massage

Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage

Focused work where modern life creates the most tension.

Concentrated treatment for the neck, shoulders and upper back. It includes the back deliberately, because neck tightness rarely begins in the neck alone.

Best for desk and hybrid workers · drivers and commuters · anyone who carries stress in their shoulders

30 min £40 · 60 min £55

Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage

Thai Foot Massage

Looking after your feet so they can keep looking after you.

Focused treatment for the feet and lower legs, including the calves. It suits anyone standing or walking all day, and clients often describe it as the calmest hour of their week.

This is massage, not reflexology. Sabaidee doesn’t offer reflexology.

Best for long hours standing · walking and hiking · tired feet and heavy legs

30 min £40 · 60 min £60

Thai Foot Massage

Why Choose Sabaidee

Choosing a massage matters. Choosing the therapist matters more.

Every treatment is personally delivered by Pailin, so you always see the same experienced Thai therapist. The philosophy behind all six is the same: listen first, treat the individual, never run the same routine for everyone.

Most new clients arrive on a personal recommendation or find Pailin through her Google reviews. They stay because they know exactly what they will get each time – the same welcome, the same care, the same attention.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most clients get in touch knowing how they feel, not which treatment to book. That is completely normal.

Tell Pailin how you’re feeling and what you’d like help with, and she’ll recommend what suits you. For a longer answer, read I’m not sure what I need. Can Pailin recommend a treatment?

Yes. If a different treatment would suit you better after talking it through, Pailin will explain the options and the price adjusts to whatever you actually have.

The priority is that you get the right treatment, not the one you happened to arrange.

It depends on the treatment and how much you want covered. Sixty minutes is the most popular choice and the usual recommendation for a first visit.

It depends on the treatment. Traditional Thai and the assisted stretching in Sports Massage are done clothed, so wear something loose you can move in. Oil-based treatments involve undressing to your underwear, with towels covering you throughout.

Pailin explains what’s needed before the treatment begins. Read What should I wear? for the detail.

No. Arrive a few minutes early so there’s time to talk before your massage begins. Everything else is provided.
