Massage Prices in Edinburgh

Choosing a massage is partly about the treatment and partly about how long you book for. Some people arrive with one area they want worked on. Others want a full-body treatment, and many aren’t sure which would suit them.

This page sets out what everything costs and how to choose the appointment that’s right for you. If you’re unsure, Pailin will happily help you decide.

Fair, Transparent Pricing

Every price on this page is the price you pay. There are no hidden charges, no add-ons and no pressure to upgrade once you arrive.

Every appointment includes time to talk through what you need, a treatment personally delivered by Pailin, pressure adapted to your comfort, and honest advice if you’re not sure what to choose.

Why Some Treatments Have Fewer Options

The gaps are deliberate. Each one has a reason.

Hot Stone and Sports Massage start at 60 minutes. Both need time to be genuinely effective. Hot Stone works with heated basalt stones that have to warm the muscle before the massage itself begins. Sports Massage combines focused work with Thai assisted stretching, and includes a conversation about your training and how your body feels. A 30-minute version of either would feel rushed rather than useful.

Thai Foot and Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage stop at 60 minutes. Both work on a smaller area of the body. Sixty minutes is enough to cover it thoroughly, and a longer appointment would add time without adding benefit. We would rather tell you that than sell you ninety minutes you don’t need.

Which Appointment Length Is Right For You?

30 minutes

Best when you have one specific area you’d like worked on – most often the back, neck and shoulders, or the feet and lower legs. Also a good choice for returning clients with a particular problem area, or if you’re short on time.

60 minutes

The most popular choice, and the one we’d recommend for a first visit.

Sixty minutes allows a proper conversation about what you need, a full-body treatment, and time to work without rushing. If you’ve not had Thai massage before, this is the best introduction to it. If you’re unsure what to book, book this.

90 minutes

Suits you if several areas need attention, if you exercise regularly, if you carry tension widely rather than in one place, or if you simply want a slower, more comprehensive treatment. Many regular clients settle on 90 minutes for this reason.

120 minutes

The longest appointment. Time to treat multiple areas thoroughly at an unhurried pace, and for many clients an opportunity to switch off completely.

Arranging Your Appointment

There is no online booking system here, and that’s deliberate. Pailin arranges every appointment personally, so you can tell her what you’re after before anything is confirmed.

Get in touch by WhatsApp, Messenger, text or phone, and let her know roughly when suits you and what you have in mind. If you’re not sure which treatment or length is right, say so – many people contact us for exactly that reason, and she’ll recommend what she genuinely thinks will suit you rather than the most expensive option.

If another treatment turns out to be more suitable once you arrive and have talked it through, that’s fine. Nothing is locked in.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash. Payment is taken at the end of your appointment. We don’t accept bank transfers, and no deposit is required to book.

Changing or Cancelling

Plans change. If you need to move or cancel an appointment, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible, so the time can be offered to someone else.

Repeated missed appointments or cancellations without notice may result in future bookings being declined. Full detail is on the Booking & Cancellation Policy page.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for any of the appointment lengths above, and are valid for twelve months. They’re bought as a session rather than as an amount of money, so the person receiving one knows exactly what they’re getting.

See the Gift Vouchers page for what’s available and how to arrange one.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a first visit, 60 minutes. It gives enough time for a proper consultation and a full treatment without feeling rushed. Many clients later move to 90 minutes when they want more time across several areas.

That’s common, and you don’t have to decide alone. Tell Pailin how you’re feeling and what you’d like to get out of it, and she’ll recommend the treatment she thinks suits you best.

Yes. Every appointment starts with a short conversation about why you’ve come, where you’re holding tension, what pressure you prefer and what you’re hoping for. If a different treatment would suit you better, Pailin will explain the options before anything begins.

It depends on the treatment. Traditional Thai Massage and the assisted stretching in Sports Massage are done fully clothed, so bring or wear loose, comfortable clothing. Oil-based treatments are done undressed to your underwear, with towel coverage throughout and only the area being worked on uncovered.

It varies. Some clients come every few weeks as part of a routine, others monthly, others simply when they feel they need it. Pailin can give you honest guidance based on your own circumstances.

Yes, for any appointment length, valid for twelve months. They’re bought as a session rather than a cash amount. See the Gift Vouchers page.
